Your participation has advantages for you and us. For you, getting involved means you can:

  • Help improve your local community
  • Tell us what you do and don't like and the changes you'd like to see
  • Meet your neighbours and other tenants
  • Develop your own skills, confidence and knowledge

Customer Involvement Opportunities

Get involved and make a difference!  There are so many different ways you can get involved with us.

Good Neighbour Awards

Are there any unsung heroes in your community? Our Good Neighbour Awards take place every year. They are an opportunity to give someone the recognition that they deserve.

Star Awards

This is your chance to thank a member of staff that has shown dedication, commitment and hard work and who you think really helps make a difference.

Customer scrutiny panel

Customers work with us as a type of 'inspector' to check our services work effectively and how they meet the Scottish Social Housing Charter. You will have the opportunity to quiz all levels of staff and carry out inspections. Your findings and recommendations go to the senior team and to the Board.

Older Persons Forum

Made up of customers from older persons developments across Edinburgh and East and West Lothian, the Forum meets four times a year to discuss important issues and provide information and create an environment that increases a positive lifestyle for older people.

Castle Rockers Podcasts

We have been working with tenants from our older person service on a project to produce podcasts on topics that interest them and their neighbours.

Community membership

Have your say by applying to be one of our active community members. You'll be invited to attend our board's Annual General Meeting, where you can raise any issues and question the Chair.

For tenants interested in communication and to help us deliver customer focused publications and help ensure that information for tenants is relevant, effective and easy to follow.

Tenants and residents associations

These are local groups that reflect the interests of people who live close to each other. They hold regular meetings to share views, discuss common concerns and find solutions to problems. Ask your housing officer if your area has an association already. If it doesn't, we can help you to set one up.

Latest consultations

We are committed to giving you good quality information that is easy to understand. We also want to involve you in decisions that may affect your home, your neighbourhood or your future. We will consult you on things that may affect your tenancy.

News and events

We will post interesting and useful community information for tenants and their families on this page. Please let us know if you would like us to share anything happening in your community.
